Well another summer is in the books and September has begun. It is time for a little rest and relaxation. This is a good time for young softball players to take a step back from the game and enjoy their friends, get a good academic start to school, or participate in another sport like cross country, swimming, volleyball or tennis, all which can make you a better softball players. This is the time to let your body recuperate from the long summer of playing. Overuse injuries are very prevalent in our society today due to fanatic parents forcing their children to work 24/7 on their craft, whether it be softball, or any other sport, or the child that has the big time dream, but does not have the knowledge to allow her body a rest.
